Intestinal obstruction or Intestinal twist in Equines Causes: 1-Severe colic that causes the horse to move violently, flip over, and roll on its back on the ground. 2-Presence of a large number of worms in the small intestine leading to blockage. 3-Administration of a large amount of carbacol injection, which increases intestinal movement and causes it to twist around itself or burst. 4-Eating foreign bodies such as sand or hair, which can harden and block the small intestine. Symptoms: -Sudden colic symptoms or symptoms of bloating or intestinal obstruction. -Severe sweating due to fatigue and pain. -Increased heart rate to about 100-120 beats per minute (normal is 40 beats per minute). -Absence of bowel movements and no remaining fecal matter during rectal examination. -Rapid discharge during rectal injection without any change in quantity or color. -Abdominal pain upon external examination.
